OLDER HOME / RETRO-FIT
Checking your home’s insulation system is one of the fastest and most cost-efficient ways to reduce energy waste and maximize your energy dollars. Most homes built before 1975 were not well insulated.
ATTICS
Most attics are half day jobs with two guys. Our blowers are mounted in the back of larger trucks. We bring a hose in through your house and into the attic. Keep in mind that the entry door must do left open for the hose to fit through while we are insulating your attic. We will install rafter venting if needed and insulate and weather strip the hatch. After finished blowing in the attic we will replace the hatch and clean up the mess. There may be some traces of dust left behind. We do our best to get your place clean.

WALLS BLOWN-IN
Most wall jobs are one to two days with three guys. Our machines are truck mounted and blow insulation in with enough force that the insulation will not settle over time. We guarantee it. Our machines have their own power, but we will need some additional power from you to run our drills. We start by removing shingles or siding, then we drill holes in each cavity. We drill multiple holes in the corner of the house to insure we insulate where there is cross bracing. We also have inferred cameras to find the cross bracing. After filling the cavity with insulation we foam the hole and replace the shingle or siding.

WALLS SPRAY FOAMED
Average jobs are one day, two guys. All our foam equipment is in a three ton box truck and is run by a John Deere generator. We run our hoses to the area that we are spraying. We start spraying when everyone is away from the spray area. Place must be vacant for 24 hours after spraying. If the wall is 4 inches thick close cell spray foam will meet R-24 code in Nova Scotia.

ROCK BASEMENT
Most jobs are one day, two guys. All our foam equipment is in a three ton box truck and is run by a John Deere generator. We run our hoses to the area that we are spraying. We start spraying when everyone is away from the spray area. Place must be vacant for 24 hours after spraying. Spray foam must be covered by gyprock or a fire barrier (Monkote) to meet code in Nova Scotia.
